Feed the homeless, elderly pensioners, families & unemployed
Donate to the Peel Community Kitchen
Why are we collecting funds?
The Peel Community Kitchen is a registered Not for Profit Charity Organisation. Our aim is to make a positive difference to the lives of the less fortunate members of our local community. We provide a desperately needed support to the homeless, unemployed, elderly pensioners and families living below the poverty line.
Our focus is to provide nutritious meals, hot and cold beverages, free fruit and bread and social companionship in a non-judgemental environment.
We serve in excess of 1,000 meals per week between the hours of 9:30am and 1pm Monday to Friday at 2 Tuart Avenue, Mandurah, Western Australia. We also offer referrals to other agencies within our region.
We use fresh ingredients to prepare our meals and they are not cheap to make.
This means that we have a shortfall of around $90,000 to fund each year.
We run some local fundraisers, but mostly we rely on the generosity of the local community, schools, church groups and businesses to donate funds to our charitable cause, delivered by the untiring team of our 40+ volunteers that give of their time on a regular basis.
